Entrance Improvements

After the Mahaiwe Theatre had undergone a complete interior restoration, the next requirement was to create an attractive and accessible front entrance. The access route is partially located on town property and leads up to the front doors. The theatre has a very active schedule of performances throughout the year, and the construction of the new access route could not interfere with event attendance. Hill provided a design that fit the historic character of the theatre and neighborhood, while meeting the accessibility regulations. The new granite and concrete entrance gives full access to all the front doors of the theatre, and allows for unimpeded pedestrian use of the sidewalk.
