The four-floor apartment building had a one-pipe heating and hot-water distribution system. Each floor was split into two zones, with some zones providing inadequate heat. The design objectives were to provide adequate heat to all apartments, create new zones to heat building efficiently, and provide temperature control for each zone. The result was an efficient new heat and hot-water distribution system with zoned temperature control. The project stayed within budget.
