Hill-Engineers, Architects, Planners, Inc. provided complete architectural design, engineering, contract administration, and environmental permitting for Dr. Michaels, a plastic surgeon, who's goal was to establish an independent outpatient surgery center in Pittsfield, MA, .

Dr. Michaels wanted his patients to enjoy better privacy and lower fees by avoiding the hospital setting. To accomplish this, he established an ambulatory care facility that enabled him to provide outpatient surgery. He purchased two adjacent houses, one was razed to make room for a parking lot, the other was renovated to include administrative areas, exam rooms and a high-tech surgical suite.
