The "Prospect House" nestled on a beautiful setting in the Berkshires provides lodging for specials guests of the Austen Riggs Center. Hill was commissioned to provide a deck and amphitheater for entertainment and lectures.
Hill successfully blended the design into the natural setting. The main structural components serve a dual purpose as light stations. The railings, benches and flooring are of natural redwood. The amphitheater was constructed from slabs of bluestone to make use of the natural slope of the site. Fieldstone walls outline the walkways.
