EHV-Weidmann produces paper cores of varying diameters and lengths. Prior to the development, design, and fabrication of this automated core cutting machine, technicians would measure and cut the cores manually with a circular saw. Quality control, extensive finishing, worker fatigue, and meeting production schedules were a problem.
Hill designed and specified this entire machine to meet the precise needs of EHV. Hill also supervised the fabrication of the machine. The fully automated, digitally controlled core cutter machine has addressed all concerns.
