The objective of this installation is to "quench" any liquid or vapor that could potentially release through the rupture disc of a polykettle. The quench tank is elevated on a platform approximately 50 feet above grade to minimize the length of vent discharge piping. The building structure was utilized to support the tank to reduce cost.
